This is a poem that has done the rounds as an email which I have converted into a lesson for ESL students. It is very topical for all as it deals with road accidents. It contains a lot of idioms and real language. It created a lot of excellent discussion with my adult students.

I created it after we had done a unit out of Harmer�s Listening for upper-Intermediate but it is not necessary to have done this. I found most of the students knew something about Van Gogh and a lively discussion followed regarding mental health and art styles.
