Talking cards Questions
These talking cards are aimed at encouraging students to speak and can be quite challenging. The questions are mine and differ from the set usually taken from the Brown talking cards, http://iteslj.org/Lessons/Brown-TalkingCards.html. Hope you and your students will get to know one another better thanks to the cards. Works better in small groups....

This WS can be used to make young learners think about disabilities and learn the right vocabulary but it is also helpful to use the modal CAN to express capacties. The text at the bottom can serve as an introduction to reading strategies for young learners.

This is a fairly easy crossword about Christmas. The aim was to go over all the new vocabulary about Christmas. It could be used as a fun end-of-class activity.

QUIZ A CHRISTMAS CAROL VIDEO
I prepared a quiz for my students based on Richard Williams Oscar- winning animated version of the Dickens Christmas Classic. The youtube links for the video were provided by French frog (thanks). You can download the 4 parts. The questions are fairly easy and are meant to help my almost beginners understand the story.

Drama preliminary games
This set is composed of activities designed as preliminary work before actually handing out the script "Celebrities....airport" Iīve downloaded. This is good as an ice-breaker or to cast students. The activities consist of: miming characters, acting out situations and working on getting the intonation right. Iīve found it very useful.

Drama Celebrities, fans and gangsters meeting at the airport
This is an updated and extended version of another play I wrote earlier. The cast can count 11 students and the lines are quite short and easy for more rhythm and better memorisation and acting. If you add in props and costumes, itīs even funnier. Thereīs also a set of preliminary activities you can do before you get on to the real thing! Enjoy!

Penny Lane, the Beatles
In this two-page activity, you will study a song by the Beatles (an old band for our teenagers now, sigh...) through the means of new technologies (you tube video clips). Itīs not just a fill-in the blanks thing, there are also questions about the Band and the song to be answered thanks to the video clip and Wikipedia and the second part revolves a...

Halloween: Reading and questions
This activity was designed for older students. The story is not mine, it was taken from the British council Website but I prepared a whole list of questions aimed at helping my not very advanced students understand the text but also how the story is told (elements involved to create a scary atmosphere) so that they can write the end of the story by...
