Im a Brit living in Spain teaching English because thats all I could find over here. I like it though. I also upload my worksheets on ISL Collective, normally a day or two after I have done so here. br You can order my books by pasting this into the browser: https://www.amazon.es/Dale-Bates/e/B08QD5M5PQ?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&qid=1613573760&sr=8-1

Idioms with Get
These are mostly in a business context in this worksheet but all of these idioms are pretty common enough. The first five are also included in a short quiz on the origin of the expressions which can be done in teams for larger groups. The answers are on the back.

Idioms with parts of the Body
Another one of my idioms series but this time with parts of the body. A fun quiz on the origins of the expressions is included as well as the answers. You should edit number 6 if you are planning on using it with children or in a country with a conservative policy on narcotics, as there is a reference to casual drug use.

In Order To - Alternatives ways to say it
I sent this last week but deleted it as I was not very happy about some of the structures and explanations. There were also a couple of mistakes. I am quite happy with this version and have tested it a couple of times. There is a short dice game to practice it with the students.

Incremental Comparatives
I made the name up as I could not find a proper name for them although there are few books where you find exercises for the comparative with this form included. Anyway, a little worksheet on this side of the comparative in English as it really needs to be looked at. A lot of my Spanish students struggle with this one. Hope its of some help to some...

Indian State of Goa Election - Obligatory Siestas
An article adapted to the style of Reading and Use of English Part 1 in the CAE exam. Answers are on the back. This could be used for a debate on the pros and cons of the siesta. The Portuguese siesta is still a thing in the state, many years after independence from Portugal. Written by an Indian journalist in a wonderfully lighthearted style.

Invitation Dice Game
Select two speakers. The speakers move through the list alphabetically. They throw a dice for each letter and then speak the line that corresponds with the number. Cut out the bingo cards. Cut out the word list and place in a cup or envelope. Hand out the bingo cards to the students. Take a word out of the cup and say its infinitive form. Students must shout back the past participle form and those that have it on their bingo card should cross it off. When a student has crossed off all the words from his/her b...
