What �s the difference between progressive present tense and continuous present tense?

I believe there is no difference. Present progressive is just another way of saying present continuous.

That �s what I thought. I called it continuous (which is what I told the students), then when I went to make sure, all my books said progressive. Thanks, everyone, for all your wonderful help!
