Video: British - American English

Hi everyone,

I came across a really useful video about the differences between British and American English.  It is 24 minutes long and it covers all the most important words. It is simple and funny and lets you take a rest while it is doing your job!

I d just like to add, that most American children know the British terms too.
We used pavement and sidewalk and many of the other expressions.
We also called a phone booth for a phone box.
It s not as black and white as Mr. Duncun says.
Just to let you know.

Interesting video.

I d like to also point out that Canadian English is a very nice blend of American and British English, we use a lot of British terms as well as American one. We also spell things "-our and -re" or "-or and -er", "ise or ize", etc... both verbs endings tend to be acceptable "learnt/learned" ...

So I agree with Liberty that it s not as black and white as it seems...
