Two questions

Hi dear colleagues!
I need your help. Is it " I live in Main Street" or " I live on Main street"? Also I d like to know if it is said "to be good at" or "to be good in". I ve always said "to be good at", but I saw the other option in one of your printables. May both be correct? Thank you. Have a nice day and a good teaching!

I would say: live in Main Street and to be good at...
I have heard "live on the street" - it is a nice song: "On the Street Where you Live"

My English teacher used to correct me and tell me that I would be "good in vegetable soup", really delicious :-D
It is correct to say "I am good at playing tennis"...

that is incorrect

We use at for specific addresses.
#Grammar English lives at 55 Boretz Road in Durham.

We use on to designate names of streets, avenues, etc.
#Her house is on Boretz Road.

And we use in for the names of land-areas (towns, counties, states, countries, and continents).
#She lives in Durham.
#Durham is in Windham County.
#Windham County is in Connecticut.

I think the difference between "in a street" and "on a street" is again British vs US English. It s interesting that "On The Street Where You Live" is from My Fair Lady, which takes place in London, where Freddy would have said "in the street where you live."

"good at" and "good in" are both okay.

In the US we usually say "He lives on Main Street",  "in" may be correct in the UK though.
