category suggestion....

Hi,

I thought it would be a good idea to have a category labelled "information-gap" or perhaps "communicative activities", or maybe "pairwork". These are activities where person A has some information that person B doesnt have, and they need to use English to find out the information. For example....

This is what I use ESL printables for (I have enough grammar and reading activities to do with them, which appear to predominate in the most popular worksheets). I know that these worksheets exist, but they are so hard to find, I have to open each one to check if it is communicative or not. Most of the time I adapt existing worksheets to make some kind of information gap, if I can.

Anyone else want a "pairwork" category?

I agree with occurin . I uploaded one of those some time ago, and I wasn t sure where to include it!
It would be great to have such a category so we can have both, the individual controlled practice, and the information-gap activities in pairs, which are a kind of controlled practice as well!

I am for the idea, It could be called "pair work activities" , or "speaking pair work activities".
