I think the passive can t be used with present/past/future perfect continuous, can t think of an example right now that would be possible...

I think all the tenses can be changed to the passive form and back ... what really depends is on whom does the action I think ... this needs a good lesson ;)

I ll check into it ;) .... maybe on the site you can find answers to your questions Wink
If I do I ll add the links to complete my answer Big smile

I agree with Babs. There is no trouble with Perfect tenses ("The house is being built" just as one example.) What matters is not the tense but the verb itself and its semantics. Fe. you can sleep but you can hardly be sleptLOL

thanks Sulekra and Babs,
i always knew that all tenses can be changed but some are rarely used like those that Sulekra mentioned , but today someone told my students that there are some tenses can t be changed to the passive form (she just has mean intentions)
so i want to know the most accurate explanation
thank you again

Dear Zeina,

Passive can t be used in Present Perfect Continuous, Past Perfect Continuous or  Future Continuous .....

I m  making a table on PASSIVE at the moment and I hope I ll be able to upload it tomorrow. So you can download it. I think you ll find it useful.

Zeina, sorry for my mistake. I really didn t make up the right exampleEmbarrassedBut have a look at http://www.englishpage.com/verbpage/presentperfectcontinuous.html. It states that passive voices are rare but possible in perfect Tensees.

Would this be better? Recently, the work has been being done by John

thank you mish,
thank you Lidia, i ll come back tomorrow to see your ws
but in some ws i found that these tenses can be changed to the passive form

Present Perfect Continuous -->S + have/has + been + V-ing -->

S + have/has + been being +past participle

Past Perfect Continuous -->S + had + been + V-ing -->

S + had + been being +past participle

they are not used in the exercise but they re foung in the changes table :(
I really got confused :S
