I need a song to work on verb to be

Hello everybody!

I need your help! Can you recommend me a song to work on verb to be? My sts , who are doctors, are 30 years old and they really love English songs. I think its a really motivating way of teaching this topic.

Thnx in advance!

Hi,
you could try this;
I m Henery the Eighth, I am,
Henery the Eighth I am, I am!
I got married to the widow next door,
She d been married seven times before.
And every one was an Henery
She wouldn t have a Willie or a Sam
I m her eighth old man named Henery
Henery the Eighth, I am!

recorded by Hermans Hermits 1965 and sung by Patrick Swayzee to Whoopi Goldberg in the film Ghost . you can find this and other verb related songs on youtube.

Depending on the class/students, I use one of the following:
1) "What I Am" by Edie Brickell with IS, AM, ARE and the contraction I M. (Music video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDl3bdE3YQA; lyrics at http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/What-I-Am-lyrics-Edie-Brickell-New-Bohemians/33C196C89D47B22948256D920026F0EA.)
2) "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion with IS, AM, WERE, WAS, and the contractions I M, YOU RE, S. (Music video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbWwzqj3idM&p=C80C2C8E8E8A5BC2&playnext=1&index=1; lyrics at http://www.metrolyrics.com/because-you-loved-me-lyrics-celine-dion.html)
3) "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. (Karaoke video with music only and lyrics on screen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVMoiIMgfYs; lyrics and online audio clip at http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/bettemidler/windbeneathmywings.html.)
Best of luck!
