When my son was young, he used to play "pogs" with his friends

In French pogs are small round cards with a picture on them

Pogonotomy could be the description of all possible pogs !!!!

Do you know Frank the meaning of all the words you give us to guess here ?

Po = "bottom" or "bum" in German
go = to move forward on your legs
no = No!!
The suffix -tomy expresses the act of cutting something.

So "pogonotomy" means that you cannot walk properly when your bum has been cut (off).

Dear Swissprof,
If I knew the meaning of all the words I would be so boring nobody would want to talk to  me, and I d have to call myself "old wind bag" or something along those linesLOL
I do know some, but by no means the majority.

Well..there is a pogo stick which children use to balance on and bounce around on. Otomy is some kind of operation, having had many otomies so how about the operation you have when you get  a stick up your...because you have been showing off your past pogo stick ability to your young and adoring offspring .

Pogonotomy this word come from the 70 s and was used all the time by the very famous English band the Sex Pistols.
the sex pistols got the crowd moving with the swinging and jumping up and down with there legs, and spiting. hence never mind the Pogonotomy.
redbull gives you wings you know Wink.

Don t tell my students but I too, was a sex pistols fan. We didn t need a stick to pogo.
To Pogo was to jump up and down wildly (without the stick).
notomy   would indicate the removal of something, but if you pogo without a stick, what could you take away...
OOOH, I know, very useful for teachers. Pogonotomy would be to take all the overly jumpy kids out of the class!!! (that would leave me with about three quiet kids in my 4th grade ;)

In context: "This class used to be very hard to teach with all the hyper-active kids in it but since it underwent a pogonotomy, things have calmed down considerably."
