CHILDREN ´S DAY IN TURKEY!
 

Dear colleagues!

I � m coming with a proposal which I hope will awake your interest.Each year on the day of 23rd April Turkish people celebrate children ´s day.On this occassion our school has the tradition of bringing a school from abroad which will join us in our celebration.The main task of the childern would be a performance of their folk dance.Here you have some details about it:

Dear Colleague,

We will be glad to host your school for the celebrations of April 23rd, National Sovereignty and Children𠏋 Day.

Terms for Participation

         The duration of your stay in Sakarya is between April 17th-24th,2011. The number of students participating should be maximum ten.

         The age group attending should be between 10-12.

         The number of teachers accompanying; 2 for 10 students. Guest students will be housed by Turkish families.

         The expenditures of teachers except dinner; breakfast, accommodation and lunch on weekdays will be met by Doğa Schools.

         All the expenses including food, accommodation and sightseeing will be paid by Doğa Schools. Only the flight expenditures will be met by the guest school.

         The guest students are requested to perform their national dance with their traditional costumes in one of the big shopping centers and school celebration in Sakarya, TURKEY.

         You must bring along the flags and pennants representing your school and country.

         You must bring along the audio CD for presentation during your country𠏋 show.

         We kindly ask you to provide information pertaining to the Flight Numbers/Arrival time/Flight time/departure flight time.

          We request you to send us an information sheet containing the names and titles of assigned teachers as well as the list of participating students.

         We kindly request you to send us the names of the General Director, Headmaster or Founder of your school as we𠆫e going to be presenting a plate of appreciation with his/her name.

         You may also bring along banners, text and posters about your school.

         Those international participants arriving via Bus must provide information regarding the route, arrival and departure times for Istanbul.

         We kindly request you to inform us about special matters or special health conditions regarding your students and participant teachers.

         The guest students are requested;

A �Culture box� including the cultural item representing their countries.

         Portrait pictures of the students and their family members

         Postcard of their countries

         The detailed programme of facilities will be sent to the principle of schools in the following weeks. The facilities are  below in summary:

  3. In school activities
  4. Rehearsals& Celebrations of April 23rd
  5. City Tour & Visits to historical places
  6. Save Nature Activities & Planting
  7. Festivals and Entertainment
  8. Performances in shopping centers
  9. Sightseeing in İstanbul
  10. Closing Party          Guest schools are asked to send the list of students and teachers until January 15th, 2011.  We will let you know about the families your students will be staying with and their addresses later on.        Before your arrival, our students will start to get in touch with your students for ongoing friendship   If you wish, you can join us for long-term projects such as Comenius Projects, Sister School Partnership. Those projects will be discussed with the teachers in detail during your visit.
