how to write a letter

hello,
I have to write two letter,

1. you ve seen an advertisement of "Las Palmas" hotel in Spain and you still haven t decided whether to stay or not. Write a letter to the manager asking for information about the hotel facilities, the location, the days available. the tourist attractions in the area and everything you consider necessary to make your decision

2. You own a small business and would like details about several items you saw in a catalogue. Write a letter to the manufacturer describing your business and requesting information about the products you are interested in. you should ask about the cost, time needed for delivery and terms of payment, and request that they send you sample of the product.

can you give me some tips about how to write the letters?

Thanks in  advance

The first link is for CAE level and gives a clear example of how to write a formal letter and an informal letter. (As well as other forms of writing needed for the CAE exam)

This second link is to a writing bank of styles for FCE level. (Ignore the first few pages which are something else.

Hopefully these will help you to get started.
