He s bad-tempered/ He s got a bad temper.

I ve got a smiling face. = I m smiling right now, whereas I m a smiley person. = I tend to smile often/ What are you all smiley about? = Why are you smiling? (http://www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/smiley). Not sure about this one, though - I ve read the definition of smiley again and again and I just think it might not be suitable for describing a face; it might be more suitable for describing character...But perhaps a native speaker would be of more help on this one.

I ve got a silver ring. = It s made of silver, whereas I ve got a silvery ring. = It s the colour of/ looks like silver, but it s not made of silver.

Hope I ve helpedSmile

We can Say:

He s a happy smiley person. (a cheerful person)
She s a smiley person. (a cheerful person)
What a happy smiley face. (happy looking)
She s full of smiles. (a cheerful/ happy person)
She s all smiles because she passed her exam. (She s happy/ pleased)

Silvery is rather poetic. .....By the light of the silvery moon. I wouldn t normally use it with watch on it s own. (silvery watch)

...for a watch not made of silver, but metal etc.  that looks like silver:
silver-looking watch or silvery-looking watch.

Pollution put a silvery sheen on the surface of the water.

Other native speakers may use these words differently. 8-)
