Hi! Again asking for help!

Hi!

I m starting new English classes this time for future waiters and I was hopping someone could suggest free eBooks or materials on the net to help me. I also need to find some documents like recipes, equipment and products instructions, food products labels

Thanks!

Hugs,

Maggy

Hi! Why don t you try using youtube?...there are videos with recipes of any kind. You may use them for listening activities and also to increase vocabulary. You can prepare sheets to hand out  to help the Ss in following the recipes, step-by-step, reordering phases and so on. Hope I could have been helpful. Bye

Hi!

To add to Sabry s suggestion, you might also want to check these out:

Food products labels

Food products labels & their meaning: http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~media/fooddates.htm
http://www.healthchecksystems.com/label.htm

Recipes

Restaurant equipment: http://www.restaurantequipment.com/

Cooking vocabulary: http://www.manythings.org/vocabulary/lists/a/words.php?f=cooking_1
(There is a "Things you can do with this word list" button and you can choose among various games and activities, including online games, etc.)

And some more resources:

http://www.englishformyjob.com/ell_foodandbeverage.html
http://www.npa.org.ge/upload/editor/file/stafs/Ucxoenebi/inglisuri%20mimtanebistvis.pdf (the translation of the words used is in Georgian, but I think you can get some ideas and adapt the ebook to your students needs - I had no problem understanding what the exercises were all about, and, as far as matching exercises are concerned, you can always find the meaning of the English words in Portuguese and change the exercises yourself)

Hope I ve helped a bitSmile
