Bravery idioms

Hi, can anyone think of idioms relating to bravery? All i can come up with is "to take the bull by the horns".

Thanks!

I can just think of a proverb :

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Dear Colibrita,

"Nothing venture, nothing win!"

"Faint heart never won fair lady!"

"None but the brave deserve the fair!"

"Fortune favours the brave!"

"Have the courage of your convictions!"

I just got a book on idioms and famous quotes...It mainly gives ideas on how to make up your own and still sound authentic...Might be a nice exercise :0

I like: "Only a thin line seperates between bravery and stupidity."Wink

Thanks Dora, I did google, it s always my first port of call, but i was getting nowhere fast. And am a bit strapped for time... Unfortunately I get idioms which include the words brave or courage which is not what I m after. They need to be less "obvious" as I m preparing an exercise on idioms. I guess I should have explained myself more clearly from the get-go...

something like "nerves of steel" would do, though. "balls" comes to mind, but I m not quite sure I can use that!! : )
