Hello, everybody!
I have a question that has been discussed here, but I forgot the most appropriated way. It was about saying the page:
Open your books on page 20. or
Open your books at page 20. |

well, I believe the most appropriate preposition is "to" "open your books to page 20"
I think that on is acceptable too but the correct one is to |

turn to page 20 or open your books on/at page 20 . At is possible but less usual.

Hi!
I m not a native speaker but I think that it is "Open your books at page..." or "Open your your books to page ...". Nevertheless, we say "The article is on page ..."

I saw the question in the forum. I didn t have a doubt about it but I started to wonder if I was right since then. I work with people from The UK and from different parts of the USA. I asked them and they said Go TO page, turn TO page or open your books on/at page. They told me and English is their mother tongue!!! Hope it helps!!!

For the nth time: at page ... in BrEng and others; to page ... in AmEng.
Check these (again!):
...and many, many more.
Perhaps Victor should dedicate a special section, along with Hot Topics etc, called open your books... . It would fit nicely alongside old classics like why has my ws been reported? and why don t people say thanks any more? .
BTW, has anyone actually heard a sober native speaker say open your books on page... ?

Open your books to/at page. Both are acceptable.
