Hi! A teacher corrected the following sentence in this way:
I don �t like playing tennis but he LIKES.
I think "likes" is not correct. I think...but he DOES is more correct.
Do you agree with me?

You are right.
You can say:
I don �t like playing tennis but he DOES.
I don �t like playing tennis but he LIKES (PLAYING) IT.

"He likes" is NOT a short answer response : "he likes"+ a complement, is needed, otherwise, it is not correct.    - �like � cannot stand alone ... like + something (you) like.
 
short answers: yes/no + subject + helping verb (do/did/BE/have/has/had/modal)
ei   Yes, I do/ Yes I did/ Yes,I will....

"Likes � must have an object; so you could say "He likes it" or better still, "he does."

when you use he likes, you must complete the sentence to the full grammatical version with an object and so on..
 
so he does is the correct one..
