Hi everyone.
Actually you can download videos from you tube just by changing the URL to include the word bajar; what you would get is www.bajaryoutube.............com (in the middle goes what you get on your computer. It works from Spain; I dont know elsewhere, but it should.
I hope it helps.

Thanks you for such an incredible and easy tip!!!
But Ive got a problem: when I download it, it is in .flv format. In order to be able to reproduce it with Windows Media at school I need to convert it to an .avi format.
How can I do it? Confused
I know there are many programs that can convert it in the internet to download. Which is best? How do you do it, Chrisholm?
PLEASE HELP ME!

Thanks!!!!!

Well, I dont convert them. Youve got to find a flv player - I actually started all this because of an article I read in the APAC magazine. (It cost some $50, actually, and it allows you to download most kinds of videos). But this was some time ago. At school the IT specialist has installed a gomvideoplayer or something like it - Im sorry but I do not have the reference here, get back to me if you want- which can read most video formats (the ones you capture when downloading from youtube, NYtimes, etc). Keep in touch and Ill try to give you more details. I was also enthralled by the very simplicity of downloading from UTube!

Im also an APAC member. Ill have a look at the magazines Ive got at home. Thanks
I tried to use the .flv videos at school but we couldnt see anything. If the Internet works, theres no big problem cause we can just watch them online. But when it doesnt its a nightmare!!!!
Ill try to do my best when theres no internet connection!
Thank you anyway.

Hi, Im back.

What you need is a flv player which can also show most other kinds of videos. Its free and you can download it at:

This is not what appeared in the APAC magazine, but things have evolved since then, I guess.
I hope this helps. You can try it out at home - sometimes its hard to install things at school if you arent the administrator!

Youre right. It is in fact impossible to install any kind of software in school! So thats my problem. Thats why I want to convert the file.
Well, thank you anyway!!
