Which one is accurate?

Hi colleagues,
I have a question, which sentence is accurate?

They are a catholic family.

OR

They are from a catholic family.

Actually I m doing ICELT and if you are familiar with it, I m on task LT3 error correction. Man, this is hard! I have like one hundred questions in my mind.

Wish everyone a short Friday and a long weekend!

The are both correct, but have two slightly different meanings.

To be FROM a Catholic family refers to your past and does not necessarily mean you are a practicing Catholic now.
