Help

Hi dears..

I need to download mp3 tracks for listening skill exercises.

I need something like a short simple passage or a short story that my primary pupils can listen to and answer some typed questions on it.

If you know a good site, i ll be thankful.

have a great weekend.

Try http://www.rong-chang.com/ . There are two sections with easy short stories for children with audio and typed script. I don t think they have questions, so you d need to make your own.

A lovely site indeed, Moody, but sadly the sound is rather unnatural. Like with most other, similar sites. So I use the texts (after some adaptations) only, and let my (adult) ss play out the conversations. Works pretty good, as we often have lots of fun. We do the listening with Real English YouTube clips. Hope this helps, Rosa. Cheers.

http://www.audio-lingua.eu/ - for elementary levels: A1 and/or A2 - for intermedite:  A2 and B1

elllo.org - the conversations are quite long but what i do is work on only a short extract (using the sofware Audacity to record / transform what I want - i uploaded a tutorial here:
you can use audacity to record stories like this one: http://www.storynory.com/2006/04/08/cinderella/ and keep only a few sentences you want your pupils to hear (at first it will be hard and long to record, edit and cut your audacity file but you ll see it s pretty easier once you ve understood how it works...)
and you can convert audacity files in different formats (mp3, wav etc...) and that s really great :)

otherwise you can use youtube videos and use keepvid.com to save them on your computer and eventually convert them in mp3 file - you ll probably get security warnings but i ve been using this website for years and never any problem so far :)
