Dear Collegues:
Could somebody help me with ideas on how to use the Book "The Cat in the Hat" with children from elementary schools. How to get them interested in Reading. What activities could I do to develop the abilities of listening and speaking in beginners; and develop the abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing for fourth, fifth and sixth graders.

I used to use Dr. Seus and Robert Munsch books in my grade 1 classes to get children excited about books because they are fun and silly and funny. I am not sure though if I would use Dr Seus with young non- English speaking children. Would they have enough English to understand the books? |
