At the moment I m teaching my students about animals, and for me it s hard to explain ( in Spanish ) the difference between these two words. Any ideas ? Thks in advance.

Claws are sharp, like fingernails or talons.
Paws are the flat part of the foot, like hands or palms.

Do a google image search for "claws" and another for "paws" and show the resulting images to your pupils. That should make the difference clear.
