1. He STILL LIVED there when our father died (A)
B. is incorrect order for that adverb
C is passive voice, and "live" is intransitive
D is WERE and "he" needs WAS

2. When I last saw him, he WAS LIVING in London (C)
"a" and "d" are present perfect, but you saw him some time AGO (no connection with present)
"b" is present continuous (NOW) and it doesn t make sense either

Cheers

I think the first one should be "was still living" - is that the correct version of option C? We have a continuous action (living) interrupted by a single action (my father s death). "Live" can t be passive as it is intransitive.

I agree with omarengteacher for the second sentence.

I agree with FrauSue about "was still living".

omar is right about #2. He is right on #1 that it can t be B, C or D.
