Hello there ;-)
How about using ESL games for adults as well as role plays , funny skits and plays?
For ESL adult games you can click here:
 http://www.teachingenglishgames.com/esl-for-adults

I teach English to the Japanese housewives and I use many(out of 175) games from this e-book.
Games are adaptable to any level of English and to any vocabulary you want to teach.
Japanese are shy when it comes to speaking a foreign language and they become very relaxed and very talkative while playing games.

I hope it helps a bit,
Ewelina
