hi,friends. i need to know the meaning of this sentence.please help me.tnx     "the glare and clamor of the mob"

Hi!
A mob is a large hostile group of people. We often see it in word pairs, i.e. mob rule, mob justice etc. 
Glare, in this context, means to look at somebody or something with a hostile expression.
Clamour in the context of a mob means the loud hostile noise they make or loud hostile demands.
