Ovres

Hello everyone.Could anyone of you explain this word to me please? Astudentasked me today to translate this word "OVRES"which he found in an engineer CV. I havent heard the word before and I can t find it in a dictionary.

Can you give us the context? I don t think it s a word.

It could be a misprint, either of the French "ouvres" or possibly of "overs" (having something to do with going over budget, maybe). These are just guesses on my part, but a context would probably help.

I think it s some horrible misspelling and we ll never know what the engineer meant by it. Just let the student know that it isn t a word, and we can t figure out what it was supposed to be.

Thanks a lot for your answer. That is what I thought but I wanted to be assured by a native.
