Nowadays, we live surrounded by technology, and it is absolutely impossible to deny the fact that it is considerably influencing our lives in radically different ways. Not only it is shaping our relationships but also it is changing the way in which we work.

As regards relationships, technology is helping and, at the same time, seriously hurting them. We cannot deny the fact that technology makes things much easier in order to communicate with other people and for that reason, it is an absolutely indispensable tool. However, not all that glitters is gold. Despite this considerable advantage, this advancement is constantly damaging our relationships as we are losing communication and meaning while paying undivided attention to our mobile phones during the whole day even when we are accompanied by our friends or family. We must agreed on the fact that technology is hindering our ability to socialize and truly connect with others. Consequently, we are more lonely and isolated now though we have in our hands the opportunity to communicate with people from different parts of the world twenty-four-seven.

Taking into consideration the way in which we work, technology had a profound impact on the world of work as it is replacing human labour with computers and robots since these machines are able to carry out a task more effectively than an ordinary human employee. Furthermore, this advancement augments the human capacity to deal with different tasks and effectively and easily solve problems.

To conclude, it is absolutely impossible to deny the fact that technology has proven to be a valuable innovation since it has helped us in so many different ways. Nevertheless, it is absolutely crucial to bare in mind the severe disadvantage that technology has for our social life.
