Teaching ESL to a blind child

Hi everyone,

This year I will have a blind student in my 3rd grade class. He is 8 years old and will be learning English for the first time.

Does anyone know websites where I can download material or has worksheets I can use?

Thanks in advance.

Dear LenaMar
I can t help you as I have no experience in teaching blind students, even though my instincts say that audio files will probably be more useful than worksheets...
I remember this subject came up on the forum before, maybe someone posted something useful at the time. It might also be helpful to contact the original posters since, by now, they should have some experience as to what works and what doesn t.
You can use the option forum search in the search bar at the top of the page, just click forum search and write "blind student"
(I did and got a few entrees but when I tried pasting it here something went wrong.)
Success!!!
