which one is correct? October12,2015 or October12th, 2015. As far as my knowledge is concerned, we write ordinal numbers as we do with cardinal numbers but we pronounce them differently, ie, without writing st, nd, th

I say it this way:
 
Wednesday the  fourteenth of October, two thousand and fifteen.  ( or twenty fifteen). The words in red are spoken but not written as part of the date.

I think there is also some variation between the USA and Europe.  In the US, we put Month/Day/Year. 
 
So, I �d SAY (spoken) "Today is October 15th, 2015. But WRITTEN, I �d just put October 13, 2015 or abbreviated as 10/13/15
