I am teaching Basic Tactics for Listening. There is a sentence in unit two which I can �t understand. Can you please help?
The sentence:
I was buying these clothes at the register, ...
Where is the register? a kind of shop?

The register is the cash register, also known as the till or the checkout. It �s where you pay for your goods in a shop.
