Winner of the WOD

Well, well, well, we had some great submissions for a spooky word! SCHWA. The winner is MANUHK whose definition is this: something really naff. LIked it! And the real meaning? Er... I forgot, how schwa is that! Need to google it!
Ah, right. It s the unstressed vowel between.............
Hey, well done Manuhk and over to you!

Now if only we can get a definition of "naff"...methinks the British love runs too deep for American English followers to have a shot :-P

Hi leaponover, well, (love the avatar!) I wouldn t like to have to give a definition of naff. Tbh, it s going out of the language a bit, but I don t know what s replacing it. In the past, maybe gauche, maladroit. I ve just googled it and the best definition is uncool, but it doesn t quite do it justice.... Isn t English wonderful?

Lol, yes it is.  Both wonderful and perplexing.
