My cousinīs boyfriend
Hi everyone! This is a presentation based on a similar presentation in Spanish that I really love, which I adopted into the English language.
The objective of this activity is to teach the students how to describe the physical aspect of people. This is a lexical type presentation with some exercises at the end to consolidate the vocabulary studied during the whole presentation.
In the presentation Powerpoint the students get to know the cousin Kate and her new boyfriend Tom. The students deduce the new vocabulary from the pictures and from the gestures of the teacher during the presentation.
The presentation may be started by the teacherīs introduction in which he or she says that, for example, Kate is his/her cousin and that he/she thinks that she is very pretty. Then the presentation starts in which students see the girl in question. The students have to describe the girl step by step and in the end they decide if she is really pretty or not.
Later the teacher tells the students that Kate is happy now because she has just started going out with a new boy sheīs very in love with. The teacher asks the students whether they want to get to know this boy and after that a similar process of describing another person starts.
Finally, the students make a hypothesis about how the boyfriend of Kate looks like and after the hypothesis has been stated, here comes a great surprise!
