English powerpoint: COMPOUND NOUNS & COMPOUND ADJECTIVES COMPOUND NOUNS & COMPOUND ADJECTIVES

This presentation helps students identify and use both compound nouns and compound adjectives. The first part illustrates how compound nouns and compound adjectives can (and usually do) replace more complicated grammar that uses dependent clauses. Then students practice identifying the right compound word by the dependent clause. Next is an illustration of how compound adjectives are frequently used to describe appearance. Lastly, is speaking practice using topics that incorporate both compound nouns and compound adjectives. I designed this to fill an hour of class time. Hope you enjoy.
