English worksheet: Fact, Opinion and Inference Notes Fact, Opinion and Inference Notes

Include this worksheet as part of your direct instruction when teaching students how to differentiate between facts, opinions and inferences. List clue words, also known as signal words, for opinions and facts. Clue words that help us identify a statement as an opinion may be: pretty, I think, best, etc. Fact clue words may include numbers or number words. Identifying these words has given my students a to use to help them determine if a statement is a fact or opinion, improving their comprehension of their text.
