Twenty-five Words for SAID from "Stellaluna"
Upon reading "Stellaluna" with a group of second graders, I noticed how many different words the author used in place of said. The students and I listed these words together on a chart, which I later typed and distributed as a handout for their reference. Using the handout, the students applied what they had learned by writing sentences/stories of their own that incoporated words from the list.
