Instructions: First you need to get some rubber bands and some string. Cut the string into 2-foot lengths. Tie one end of four pieces of string to each rubber band, spacing the spring evenly apart. Groups of four need to sit around a table or four desks pushed together like a table. Put ten cups in the center. Allow each student to pull on one end of the string. Together, students will pull the strings to expand and contract the rubber band. They will then use the rubber band to pick up the cups and create a pyramid out of them. Fun as a competition or a timed event. Students will probably need a demonstration of what they are looking to create first.
