Objective:
The student will read high frequency words.
the game Rules :
Students read high frequency words by playing a checker game.
1. Place the checker game on a flat surface with the corner white square to the student’s left.
2. Students place checkers on board in the traditional manner.
3. Taking turns, students move a checker and read the word on the square.
4. If able to read the word, keeps checker on that square. If unable to read the word, the student returns the checker to the previous square.
5. Continue the game until one student reaches the opposite side of the board
