Eagle Tribe
This worksheet can be a warm-up, ice breaker, group work. IT can be used for writing or grammar revision but the main scope is writing. Here how it should be explained to SS:
Tell students that they are part of the Eagle Tribe which is divided into groups. Groups live separately in different spots. However, they like to change places a lot, so they move twice a year. Each group leaves a letter to the group that will come after telling them how to survive in that spot in particular and at the same time giving a piece of information about the Eagle Tribe. The letters are in the Eagle Language. SS need to decode each letter by moving in the classroom form one letter to another. A list of some symbols is given to students but the students still need to add something from their own language experience.
Set a time for each letter and at the end groups can compare letters. I have uploaded the list, letters and the key as well. Enjoy as it should take 30 minutes to do that. It is a lot of fun.
