The Rhythm of English
This is a 45-min. to one-hour lesson on the rhythm and music of English. It includes a worksheet with 3 sections, but you will need a copy of the free ebook The House that Jack Built as well as a drum or makeshift drum. My class of low intermediate students really loved this lesson. Recent research cited by Judy B. Gilbert in her paper on teaching pronunciation using the prosody pyramid indicates that a greater improvement in intelligibility can be gained by teaching prosody (supra-segmentals) rather than segmentals.
