Judging a book by its cover Judging a book by its cover

INTRODUCE A NEW NOVEL/text with this worksheet! The goal of this lesson is to predict the content of the novel/text and check this prediction with more information. Students are supposed to look at the book cover first, then at a review, and finally at the text itself (or beginning of novel). They should answer the questions on the worksheet. You can have them work in groups to discuss their findings, ideas, and feelings about the book cover etc. Have them decide on the most interesting ideas and let the students present them. You can end your lesson with the saying "You cant judge a book by its cover" and ask the students whether this is true for this novel/text. HAVE FUN (my students liked it very much and came up with wonderful ideas) You might want to give them an "adjective list" for help!
