I am currently teaching in the Sultanate of Oman and my school asked me to plan an open day for The English language Department. I have some ideas in my mind like doing a model lesson plan and doing a presentation competition as well as a story telling competition. Furthermore, I would like to enrich my plan for this exceptional day. So if you have planned such a day or if you have any valuable ideas, please suggest to me.
Hi All, I am wondering, have been actually since I first joined, why do we only have 3 levels of worksheets? I find our elementary level quite confusing sometimes: we seem to have everything in it from beginner to pre-intermediate. Just wondering how many people here teach beginners or even complete beginners? I have groups of complete adult beginners and often struggle to find anything appropriate for them. Anybody else in this position?
I strongly agree with this. Elementary is waaay different than beginner and I wish they added a beginner category to make it easier to find printables and other materials and navigate the site. Id support this decision if the site ever considers it.
I say this, however, most of my material is for advanced and sometimes intermediate students. But I teach beginners and kids as well, so this level matters to me. A1 option rights! Haha.
I was wondering if anybody can think of some more examples. I know there are more but the old brain is not at its best this morning. If I get enough, I will do a worksheet on this to annoy my students.
Unfortunately, after all these years, the forum seems to be broken. How sad, I have fond memories of playing on the forum in the early days (2008-2009 and later) when there was only a few of us and we built a thriving community that has made me a far better teacher.
Oh well, it is what it is, I suppose. There were a couple of gaming forums I used about 15 years ago that were a lot of fun but no longer exist, and I really miss my chats with those guys. This place may well have a few problems but it is still here. That is the main thing. Good to see a few of the old faces still posting. Meanwhile, I may have to post something to try and get rid of some of that spam.
