Colors with Dot the Dinosaur (Short Poem, Counting and Sentence Writing) worksheet

Review 6 of the colors with Dot the dinosaur. I only used 6 colors because I wanted to match the clip art that I used. (You can ask your clever students to tell you which colors are missing (like orange and brown). Read the poem together for fun. Give each student or pair of students a Dot’s Spots Card. Give each student a lined mini card. Have the students count the spots and write sentences on the mini cards. Sentences may include: There are 4 pink spots. / There are four pink spots. I can see 4 pink spots. Dot has 4 pink spots. I counted 4 pink spots. For one added activity you can ask students to tell you the total number of dots on the page. There are… 4 pink 5 yellow 6 purple 7 green 8 blue 9 red Total Number of Dots: 39 I have added a black and white version so that students can choose their own colors. You may also ask them to complete the poem in the middle. Students should choose 6 different colors before they begin to color in the dots.
