I am now, after more than 5 decades in the work force, officially semi-retired. New hobby: gardening. Old hobby restarting: table tennis. I still have some classes to teach and materials to design, many of which I will continue to share with the dear members of ESLPs. You may come across my materials on Facebook and my blog.

Quite the Opposite 2: illustrated fill the gap exercise with key
10 years since I uploaded "Quite the Opposite" version 1. Same layout and mostly the same opposites, but entirely new sentences and pictures with the focus shifting to sports. making it suitable for a slightly older audience. It will be good to review opposites before giving your students this worksheet.

Read! Spell! Do! playing cards (an extra 30 cards) Adverbs and Adjectives 5
Notice the change in the Spell cards which can take on the endings ier and iest. I ran out of suitable single syllable adjectives. You will need the playing board, which is here: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=463371#this#. The cards can be used independently of the board. Print 2 sets and play matching games, have reading races, m...

Mini Book 15: The Fun Run in colour and greyscale
I have reformatted this 2006 story to make a suitable for a mini book. This story uses only single letter sounds and the word the, so early readers and dyslexics should have little difficulty in reading it. I usually have the children sit in a circle and read a page at a time, including the front and the back, then I read it to them. Before doing ...

Capital Track B in full color, black and white and blank.
This upper case B has a different vocabulary set from the lower case letter. I have thickened some of the lines to help keep the child on the right track. I will make some more over the next week or so. For some letters it will be difficult or even impossible to come up with new vocabulary. Maybe I need a brainwave for these ones. Suggestions on ...

Family Flash Cards: 57-64 of 72
Although these are primarily designed as family flash cards they can be used in many other areas such as, as previously mentioned, in combination with verb cards. "Whats your sister doing?" For physical descriptions, "What does your grandfather look like?" and for fashion, "Whats your brother wearing?" Ill have to try out all these ideas myself...

Dealing with Countries (Get a Country) 3-4 of 6 (with backs)
This is the last. If you missed the others then go to my account and select "newest first". These took a while to design. I havent yet printed out cards for myself, but Im confident that it is a worthwhile game and will probably make it available commercially. Of course you get it for free. If you see any major errors like a wrong flag or someth...

Hot or Cold?: worksheets and flash cards part 2 of 2 (7 pages)
The other part is here: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=448954#thetop#. My textbook has a page on hot and cold so I searched ESLPs and found a worksheet (http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=188208#thetop#) which I could use but I wanted more for my students so I made these. A worksheet in color and B & W and a set of flash...
