I needed a sheet on the verb to be with easy vocabulary. I combined it with our current school objects unit. There is an exercise on personal pronouns, basic am/is/are gap fills, short answers and negative sentences. Spacing is wide enough to write comfortably on the sheet itself and it is in black and white for easy photocopying... Hope you find ...

meaning of the song Lemon tree
The song "lemon Tree� is very popular but its lyrics are a little obsecure so i searched the net for meaning and came accross some nice materials. I re-wrote them to better suit the level of my students. (source site mentioned under the title). I will use it alongside the wonderful exercises �Daniela� posted a few days ago. (thanks again ;)

dictation on common irregular verbs in past simple
3 different dictation sheets. I made little stories where students need to fill in a verb in past tense. Each sheet has about 6 verbs they had to learn by heart. The verbs are among the most common and therefore important ones for them to know.(sat, wrote, bought, read, knew, woke, thought, found, felt etc. etc.)

the hippopotamus
