"The Raven" Lesson
This is a full lesson for Edgar Allan Poe´s "The Raven." It begins with vocabulary and their definitions then I have a copy of the poem, which is now public domain, and finally I have comprehension questions. It´s good for a poetry unit or for halloween.

Paraphrase Lesson

Paraphrasing Poetry: "Fire and Ice"
This sheet defines paraphrasing. The student will then read the poem "Fire and Ice" by Robert Frost. After reading the poem, the student reads a short paragraph, not a poem, that is a paraphrase. For an exercise, the student will read "Woman with Flower´ and paraphrase it. I hope this helps students be less afraid of poetry!
