Hogans Heroes: Praise the Fuehrer & Pass the Ammunition
"Hogans Heroes" was a very original, award-winning American sitcom from the 1960s, taking place in a German prisoner-of-war camp with prisoners who exploited the totally incompetent guards to wage underground operations. Available online at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYrWohpHOfI This is an updated version of an earlier worksheet. A film ve...

Numb3rs - Pilot episode
This is a worksheet to episode 1 of the first season of the excellent American TV drama show, "Numb3rs," which is about an FBI agent and his math genius brother, who uses mathematics to solve crimes. Twilight Zone - The Living Doll
A worksheet to go with this episode of the old "Twilight Zone" TV series available on YouTube), which is about a doll that hates the little girls stepfather. For the titles I used the free fonts Shatter and TwyliteZone. Otherwise, you will have to adjust the fonts and font size so that both halves fit onto one page.

Simon & Garfunkle - Richard Cory
Here is a fun exercise for Simon & Garfunkles song, Richard Cory, which is an adaptation of Edwin Arlington Robinsons poem. Pass out strips of the lyrics, and ask the students in groups of 2s or 3s to assemble them in order to tell a story in poem form. (Dont mention songs or music at this point.) Redneck Athletes
Many people make fun of the "rednecks" in the U.S. (Comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy have built their careers portraying these conservative and poorly educated people.) Here students have to match the questions and answers, thus giving some insight into the stereotyped rednecks.

Comparing Romeo & Juliet Remakes
The balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet is one of the most famous in all English literature. About 2 dozen film versions of this novel have been made (the earliest back in 1911!).
