METROPOLIS: Now & Then
With this worksheet, I prompted my students to describe an imaginary city, as it used to be and as it is nowadays. The second part of the exercise requires them to ask for/give directions, both in the present and in the past tenses. E.g.: "When my grandfather usually went from the school to the bus stop, he turned/had to turn..."

READING FOR WOMENS DAY
I used this as an examination of my students reading skills. On the previous sessions, I had been dealing with the cultural implications of the womens liberation movements, sexism, violence, etc. I recommend you do the same. It is also possible to make discussions in the classroom afterwards.
