Analogies Card Game
A short warmer for those whose students come in dribs and drabs to their classes. Basically, students have to pick a card and then have 5 seconds (or 10 if prefered) to complete the analogy. Minimal Pair Telephone Game
This isnt my idea. This came up in a brainstorming session with some of my teachers while planning activities for our summer camps. Im pretty sure he got the idea from either a book or website. Anyway, I have recently used this with a group of IT professionals and they loved it. The instructions are on the second page. It works like a dream.

This is easier than it looks and it really works. All my own work so you are free to alter it in anyway you see fit. How to play 1. Cut out the bingo cards below and hand them out to the class. 2. Read the list below the bingo cards aloud and tell the students not to take notes. Provide at least one example or get one of the students to provide one...

Idioms Quiz: Part 3
Print, laminate and cut out the cards. Organise the class into two teams. Take one card at a time and read out the first question (or give to the students to read). Teams must choose A, B, or C, as the answer. One point is given for a correct answer. The origin of the idiom is then read out with an additional point given for a correct answer.
