Im a Brit living in Spain teaching English because thats all I could find over here. I like it though. I also upload my worksheets on ISL Collective, normally a day or two after I have done so here. br You can order my books by pasting this into the browser: https://www.amazon.es/Dale-Bates/e/B08QD5M5PQ?ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1&qid=1613573760&sr=8-1

A couple of stories I downloaded from the internet and adapted for First Certificate exam practice for some of my students. Also a handy reading for classes or lessons themed on the subject of holiday experiences.

Phrasal Verbs About Communication
The usual phrasal verb project, a mix-and-match, gapfill, bingo game, a very difficult article, a debate related to the article, personality cards for participants in the debate, and finally a small section that resembles the reading and use of English part 4 section of the FCE exam. The answers are at the back. I havent used this yet, so if any...

Train Timetable Questions: Grammar and Practice activities
I have used this for a few years now and have found it to be very useful. There is a small section of a train timetable on the first page with some examples of "How many times a day ...?" questions as well as "How often does ...?" and "How long does it take ...?" along with some small explanations of the grammar. Once all the grammar has been done,...

Phrasal Verbs about Health and Safety
A shorter than usual worksheet on Health and Safety. I plan to use this with shop-floor workers at a large manufacturing plant. Normally I use 18 phrasal verbs but I opted for just 12 with this one. However, there is the usual mix and match, bingo, online quiz (see below and on the worksheet), a text, gapfill, card game, and a short debate to cap i...

Put the story in order
A little story I wrote for a class of police officers. It seemed to amuse them. Read the instructions and off you go! Works best for small groups. For bigger groups, get the students who need the most practice to read, while the rest are divided into groups to work as a team putting the text into the right order.
