Capitalization
This is part three of the lesson plan using Jay Z - Empire State of Mind (which you view on YouTube). Itīs great because nearly every student knows the song, and if they donīt its a great tune, it introduces American slang words and phrases in addition to so many words that require capitalizing. Admittedly the students wonīt know some of them (I didnīt), but if accompanied with the slideshow of pics for the song, they can visualize the words. I didnīt do the last verse because there really are so many words to concentrate on as it is. The other two parts are the pics and an introductory Power Point which shows when to use capitals and an example letter for them to do individually or as a class (this is designed for Thai students).
